ABOUT COACHING
WHAT IS COACHING?

Coaching is a goals oriented growth modality conducted by a certified professional. Working with the right coach is an investment in your life on which you can expect a significant return. This return will manifest in the area of life you choose to invest in, including life and career satisfaction, personal and professional relationships, physical and mental well-being and increased income.

Countless studies have evidenced the extreme benefits of working with a professional coach. Many of the world's titans from business leaders and entrepreneurs to sports stars and global celebrities espouse the unique benefits of working with a coach to master their life and career. Now is the time for the next generation of titans to tap into the fastest growing growth modality in the world and claim the life and career of their dreams.

For many clients engaging a coach is the biggest financial investment they have ever made in themselves. This can trigger doubts, and feelings of selfishness, all of which is totally normal. I encourage clients to consider the cost of not pursuing the life and career of their dreams, the cost of being exactly where they are now in six months from now, and the impact this will have on their life satisfaction and their loved ones.

The coach and client quickly form a powerful alliance that creates an emotionally safe space to explore the clients dreams and gain clarity on life and career goals they choose to pursue. By using specially taught coaching techniques and tools, hearing what is not being said and seeing what is not being shown, the coach enables the client to remove internal and external blocks and supports them to build an empowered, manageable and accountable plan to build the life and career of their dreams, one day at a time.

WHAT COACHING IS NOT

All self development partnerships and healing modalities have well established benefits. I encourage clients to find the one that aligns with your specific needs at this time. It is perfectly normal to work with a coach alongside a therapist, a consultant and/ or mentors.

Therapy
Working with a therapist typically involves looking at the past to gain clarity on present circumstances. This often requires diving into emotional issues and working on personal healing or trauma recovery. Therapists help clients fix problems, develop skills for managing emotions and sometimes manage mental illness. Coaching is mostly looking at the present to create a vision for the future, develop goals and support improvements in particular areas of the clients life.

Mentoring
A mentor is a role model in one particular area of life or work that has 'been there and done it.' They give advice based on their personal experience, skills and knowledge for the mentee to use as they see fit. A professional coach knows that the client is the expert in their life and profession. The coach empowers the client to find solutions based on their unique gifts, skills and wisdom.

Friendly Advice
We should all have friends and family we can ask for advice, guidance and support. Even with the best of intentions, friends and family often have a bias or agenda and may find it challenging to be objective and straight talking. A professional coach is trained to remain focussed on the client's agenda and goals and challenge the client in a supportive way.
