”It’s 100% benign and will remain that way”

”It’s 100% benign and will remain that way”

Those were the words I heard last week at a hastily arranged scan to get checked out.

And breathe….

I was tempted to ignore the whole experience and try to pretend it hadn't happened, but I couldn't.

It had been two days of mild worry.

On the morning of the scan I felt the urge to be outside in the garden. I sat, without my phone (unusual), and felt a deep sense of presence and calm.

On the tube ride there, I chose not to listen to music or a podcast (unusual) and I felt a deep sense of gratitude for my place in the world and so much love for those around me.

I pledged to show up more powerfully for my clients, spend more time with my family and find more of this presence I was experiencing.

A week on, I’m trying to honour those commitments as best I can.

I have been reminded that we can turn a difficult moment into positive actions for ourselves and those around us.

To anyone out there worrying about something, health related or otherwise, hang in there for now.

Try leaning into the sensations and getting present with them.

It might lead to turning the experience into useful action.

Be well
